A Simple Tool for Transparent, Low-Stakes Selection

    Random Name Spinner helps a group see the same eligible list, watch one selection happen, and repeat the process with consistent settings. It is free to use and requires no account.

    The current version uses Web Crypto plus rejection sampling to select an index from the active list. The wheel animation displays the already-selected result.

    Visible settings

    Users can edit names, prevent repeat winners, change wheel colors, save lists, export data, view recent results, and create a shareable list URL.

    No account required

    Names and recent results are stored in the browser. Shared URLs and exported files can expose their contents, so sensitive information should not be entered.

    Random does not automatically mean fair, safe, or legally compliant. The person running the draw is responsible for defining the eligible list and accepting every possible result.

    Do not use this tool by itself for medical, legal, employment, disciplinary, admissions, gambling, regulated promotion, or other high-stakes decisions. It is not a certified raffle system or permanent audit log.
